Canaery is small but well-funded startup devoted to developing a revolutionary sensory and data platform to digitize the sense of smell. Orthogonal to imaging systems, which are now used ubiquitously to identify things using object recognition, digital smell 'sees' a hidden world and enables identifying the presence of billions of unseen objects using molecular fingerprints. New hires will help build a digital scent platform that can be used detect the airborne fingerprints of infectious diseases in real-time, countless untracked explosives, biological threats, contaminants, invasive species, air pollution, and zoonotic diseases in agriculture.At Canaery you will have the opportunity to develop a high impact, world changing technology platform that will positively impact society. You will work intimately with some of the world's leading scientists and engineers who are renowned in the field of neurotechnology and scent. -ResponsibilitiesWe are looking for a Hardware Engineer with strong skills in hardware design and manufacture, and an emphasis in wireless power and data systems design. -In this role you will be responsible for design and integration of hardware. You will report to the Chief Technology Officer and work with the technical team, including the founders, who hold PhDs in electrical, mechanical, and biomedical engineering.We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced start-up like environment and work independently. To be successful you need to be highly motivated and detail oriented while meeting the highest standards in product development including time-to-market, cost and quality goals.

--- - - - - - - -BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field--- - - - - - - -5+ years of experience with hardware/software integration for embedded systems or hardware development--- - - - - - - -Experience designing wireless data and power transfer systems--- - - - - - - -Experience building prototypes with hands on construction, testing and validation know how--- - - - - - - -Knowledge of digital systems and control designPreferred Qualifications
