CNC Machinist We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team in Gainesville, Florida. This role is responsible for manufacturing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) lathe or mill machine. Key Responsibilities - Operate mill, lathe, drill press, CNC machine, and other equipment - Modify existing CNC programs as needed - Write basic CNC programs - Perform defined set-up and change overs - Establish tool set-ups Education & Experience - High school diploma or GED preferred - A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered in lieu of a diploma - Five years or more CNC Machining experience Skills & Abilities - Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (e.g., Word, Excel) - Advanced mathematical skills - Ability to use measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers etc) - Strong problem-solving skills - Demonstrated understanding of G & M code - Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Ability to read and interpret prints, documents and other instructions - Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset - Willingness to share knowledge Physical Demands and Work Environment - This role is based in a manufacturing environment - Frequent standing and walking required - Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds Fabco-Air is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
