to accomplish its missions. Job Title: Load Control Coordinator
Location: Orlando, FL Department: Load Control Reports To: Manager
of Load Control FLSA Status: Exempt Summary: The Load Control
Coordinator plays a critical role in both flight planning and
day-of-operation execution. This position works in close
coordination with Sales, Customer Service, Ground Operations,
Mission Planning, ULD Control and the Loadmasters, to ensure loads
are built and aircraft are loaded safely, efficiently, and in full
compliance with regulatory and operational requirements. Essential
Functions: Works closely with Sales and Customer Service to assess
cargo Load ability. This includes determining ground handling
requirements, necessary ULDs, shoring, and required restraint to
ensure each load can be transported safely and in compliance with
all applicable regulations. Coordinates with Ground Operations to
ensure the availability of appropriate ground support equipment
(GSE) for flights. Identifies and arranges for any special
equipment required to support non-standard or special cargo loads.
Coordinate with the NAC ULD Department to arrange timely movement
of ULDs to and from vendors and customers. Liaises with cargo
handlers and customers to ensure cargo is built up correctly and in
accordance with aircraft limitations and airline procedures.
Calculates and generates clear, detailed shoring and restraint
diagrams for non-standard loads to support safe and compliant
loading. Reviews Dangerous Goods documentation to ensure compliance
with applicable regulations. Coordinates with Chief Loadmaster to
ensure a suitably experienced Loadmaster is scheduled on a special
load flight. Prepares and completes accurate Weight and Balance
calculations in advance of scheduled departures. Performs
additional duties assigned by leadership. Supervisory
Responsibility : No Qualifications and Skills: Prior aviation
experience, preferably involving widebody or heavy jet aircraft
operations. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ramp operations or a
similar air cargo handling role. Strong working knowledge of
aircraft weight and balance principles and cargo placement
procedures. Proficient with computers and capable of using weight
and balance software systems. Basic math and technical writing
skills. Strong analytical thinking and sound decision-making
skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to interpret and apply
regulatory guidance. Must be fluent in English (spoken and
