experience to join our team as a Director of Finance in

bank serving more than 125 hospitals in Alabama, Florida, and

hospitals and their patients by providing the highest quality blood
components and services. With more than 30 donor centers, 50
bloodmobiles and 2,000 blood drives a month, our LifeSouth team is
dedicated to making sure the blood is there when you or your family
is in need.Our MissionTo provide a safe blood supply that meets or
exceeds the needs in each community we serve, and to provide a
variety of services in support of ongoing and emerging blood and
transfusion related activitiesWhat You Will OwnThis position is
charged with ensuring the stability of LifeSouth's finances through
planning, directing and controlling financial functions, including
establishing appropriate control environments, financial reports
for management on the company's financial status, preparing
financial reports and analysis, overseeing the development and
implementation of effective financial and accounting
systems.Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)- Manage
the Purchasing and Accounting departments- Provide financial advice
and guidance to the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial
Officer (CFO)- Drive the financial planning of the company by
analyzing its performance and risks- Retain constant awareness of
the company's financial position and acting to prevent problems-
Oversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets to monitor
progress and present financial metrics both internally and
externally- Manage accounting and financial systems and maintain
full and accurate accounting records- Conduct financial analysis
and prepare detailed financial reports and statements- Oversee all
accounts, ledgers and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with
appropriate Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and regulatory
requirements- Develop and implement purchasing practices and
monitor the purchasing system- Prepare tender documents and
administer contracts- Respond to auditors' comments concerning
finances and operations and oversee required action to address
deficiencies- Establish and maintain cash controls- Implement plan
for investments and reserves as directed by the Board of Directors-
Monitor spending and recommend corrective actions as necessary-
Manage the maintenance and upgrade of financial and payroll
information systemsMinimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in
finance, accounting or related field- Five years of related
financial experience, including at least two years of management
experience- Advanced computer skills and experience with computer
programs such as NetSuite, Vena Solutions, MS Office Suite,
Paylocity, etc.- Ability to supervise staff and delegate tasks
effectively- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles-
Ability to analyze, think critically and make decisions consistent
with SOP and regulatory guidelines- Advanced communication skills,
both oral and written- Ability to prepare concise and informative
reports- Excellent customer service skills- Valid driver's license.
Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility
requirementsThe Ideal Candidate Will Possess-Certified Public
Accountant (CPA); salary commensurate with CPA designationOur

Starting salary range is $115,000 - $126,500 annually. Background
