Job Description:

Envision Physician Services is seeking a Board Certified Neonatologist to lead our advanced Level II NICU practice at North Florida Regional Medical Center (NFRMC) in Gainesville, FL. The Medical Director will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the NICU and newborn nursery with particular attention to quality, patient safety, policies and procedures, and patient experience. The role also incorporates working with hospital administration and providing leadership for the multi-disciplinary staff. Highlights of these opportunities include: Staffing Model: 2 Neos, 3 NNPs o Coverage includes Level II NICU, newborn nursery, and attendance at high risk deliveries o NNPs are 1st on-call service at nights Flexible week on/week off schedule 12-bed Level II NICU; -bed newborn nursery Census Data o NICU ADC: 10 o Newborn Nursery ADC: 11 o 2017 Deliveries: 3,250 MFM support on site Family practice residents rotations for newborn nursery NFRMC is a 445-bed, full-service medical and surgical acute care center serving North Central Florida and offering comprehensive cardiovascular care , oncology , orthopedics , neurosciences , minimally-invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery , weight loss surgery and treatment , women s health and wound therapy , among other services.
