Preferred: National certification in clinical specialty as eligible.Preferred: Membership is professional organization.Gainesville Campus-S1B is a 31 unit as a neurology, renal and substance abuse withdrawal unit, care is provided for a wide variety of illnesses and symptoms, including but not limited to: Medical Neurological Disorders Suspected and/or active CVA, TIA, and seizure 24-hour EEG monitoring Continuous cycling peritoneal dialysis Continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis CIWA (scores up to 16)S1B - Stroke Intermediate Care Unit - 12 bedsS4E is a 35-bed unit. As a general medical nursing unit, care is provided for a wide variety of illnesses, including but not limited to: Sepsis Diabetes, DKA Pancreatitis, Cirrhosis Medical Neuro (AMS, dementiaS4D is a 25-bed gastroenterology nursing unit. S4D is a designated gastroenterology (non-surgical) unit receiving general medical patient overflow. Care is provided for a wide variety of illnesses, including but not limited to: Ulcerative colitis Crohn Disease Liver cirrhosis Gastrointestinal hemorrhage Gastroesophageal reflux Abdominal Pain (non-surgical), N/V/D, Gastritis CholecystitisS5E is a 44-bed nursing oncology/pulmonary unit, care is provided for a wide variety of illnesses, including but not limited to: Chemotherapy Blood transfusions post Chemotherapy Inpatient I-131 Radiation Care Hospice and End of Life Care Pneumonia COPDN4G is a 32-bed nursing unit Orthopedic Neurosurgery unit, care is rendered to a variety of patients including but not limited to: Elective orthopedic joint replacement surgeries (hip, knee, shoulder) Neurosurgical surgeries (neck, back, brain) Orthopedic trauma in times of high census Medical overflow in times of high censusN5G is a 20-bed surgical trauma unit, care is rendered to a variety of trauma patients including but not limited to: Trauma surgery and related injuries Orthopedic trauma and related injuries Emergent and scheduled general surgery Other medical and surgical patients in times of high censusN5G - Trauma Intermediate Care UnitN6G is a 32-bed nursing unit with a variety of specialties including, but not limited to: Bariatric Surgery including Gastric Bypass, Gastric Sleeve, and Adjustable GastricBanding Urology diagnosis and procedures Oncology Gynecology surgery General Surgery including major bowel procedures Vascular surgery procedures Plastic Surgery including skin grafts, flaps and reconstructive surgery Podiatry Other medical and surgical patients in times of high censusBraselton CampusB1W is a 24-bed unit. The population served are patients admitted with general medical and surgical diagnoses, as well as pediatric general surgical patients. A variety of medical and surgical diagnoses are cared for on this unit. This unit cohorts stroke andAll GIP hospice. The RNs are trained in hospice drips.B2W Medical is a 24-bed acute care unit. Adult patients with a variety of medical, surgical, and cardiac diagnoses are admitted to this unit.B1E General Surgery is a 24-bed unit. Medical and surgical diagnoses are admitted to his unit. The unit may also provide care for patients post ICU or with medical diagnoses as needed.B3W is a 12-bed unit Individualized care is provided for inpatients and outpatients having orthopedic and other surgical procedures. The unit may also provide care for patients post ICU or with medical diagnoses as needed.B3W oversees a Joints in Motion program in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team for optimal patient outcomes. Beginning at preadmission, the program includes an array of pre and post-operative services emphasizing wellness and maximizing patient recovery efforts through education.Barrow CampusBarrow Medical/Surgical is 24 bed unit. As a general medical unit, care provided for a wide variety of illness including but not limited to: Sepsis Respiratory: COPD, Pneumonia, Flu Diabetes GI: Abdominal Pain (non-surgical), N/V/D, Gastritis GI Bleed Pancreatitis, Cirrhosis Medical Neuro (AMS, dementia) Medical patients with tracheostomy from previous admissionHeparin drips is the only allowable critical drip on Barrow Medical /Surgical unit.Since first opening its doors in Gainesville in 1951, Northeast Georgia Medical Center has added hospital campuses in Braselton, Barrow and Dahlonega - and become Georgia's most awarded hospital.
