For more than 35 years, our physicians and staff have provided care for patients who choose weight loss surgery to help them achieve a healthy life. Our center is accredited by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery as a Comprehensive Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program. Our Registered Nurse (RN) Bariatric Coordinator Supervisor responsibilities include: Program Oversight

  • Ensures programs compliance to MBSAQIP accreditation requirements
  • Coordination and facilitation of the hospitals Bariatric Committee
  • Maintains quality metrics, entry and reporting in quality databases
  • Monitors, analyzes and facilitates change for improved quality outcomes
  • Works with Manager, Director and Medical Director on service line improvement projects
  • Maintains knowledge of insurance, LCD/NCD and other financial considerations related to weight loss surgeryLeadership
    • Provides leadership to all Center for Obesity Surgery and Treatment staff and physicians
    • Identify need, develop and perform training and education for patients and hospital staff
    • Collaboration with interdisciplinary hospital department team members, community customers and representatives
    • Manage multiple prioritiesPatient Care
      • Able to provide direct patient care during clinic visits
      • Oversight of scheduling of clinic visits, surgery , and follow up
      • Conduct patient education
      • Communicate effectively with surgeons regarding patient progress and/or complications Clinic open hours are Monday through Friday 8:30am-4:30pm. This position requires availability outside clinic open hours to accommodate community events, training and outreach. Occasional travel may be required to other hospitals within North Florida market, community physician offices and community events. Qualifications EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED: (list required and preferred separately)Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED: (list required and preferred separately)2-3 years related experience. Member of the ASBS, preferred. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Demonstrated skills in organization, verbal and written communications, and customer service. Ability to follow instructions, and proficient in using computer application software.Skilled in handling fast pace and multiple priorities. Ability to work in an office environment, attend meetings, work independently and in interdisciplinary team settings. Must be able to drive to assigned sites to complete work. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: (list required and preferred separately)FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. BLS certification. Your benefits include:
