Job Description:

SIMEDHealth is currently looking for a Clinic Assistant with preferred experience handling medical referrals and authorizations to join us in our Diagnostics division in Gainesville, FL. This Clinic Assistant (CA) position is responsible for processing referrals and authorizations in a timely manner. The CA is also responsible for ensuring that the data entered into the computer system, insurance information gathered and authorized are accurate. The CA must fulfill the duties of his/her position while remembering Customer Service and professionalism are key components of this position and the CA may be the "face" of his/her division.COVID 19 VACCINATION PROTOCOL:In accordance with the US Occupational and Safety Administration's (OSHA) Emergency Temporary Standard, and as a condition of employment, successful applicants will be required to provide documentation that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in accordance with the current Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines, or an approved exemption as of their start date. Details relating to demonstrating compliance with this requirement will be provided to applicants selected for employment. Applicants receiving an exemption will be required to undergo weekly COVID-19 testing.Qualified candidates will have:+ A High School diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED).+ Proficiency in utilizing a computer including Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Outlook (REQUIRED).+ Previous experience with an electronic medical record.+ 1-2 years previously in a medical office or hospital setting.The following are some of the duties which may be required of you as a Clinic Assistant.
