Job Description:
Gainesville, Florida $65,000/year Manages the flow of medical
services in the each of the residential programs under the Vice
President for Residential Services including the MIST, Bridge
House, Recovery Center, SAPP and VetBridge Programs. Responsible
for supervising and coordinating activities of nursing services and
personnel on each unit, establishing written protocols, flow
designs for service delivery and promotes high quality of care;
assessing the needs of clients and ensures services are provided
that are consistent with patient needs. Position requires on-call
duties/notifications. Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an
accredited School of Nursing with a degree in Nursing. Must be
licensed as as Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
supplemented with 3-5 years of responsible nursing experience in
management - preferable in a Substance Abuse and/or Mental Health
setting or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and
experience. Must be proficient in the use of computer and programs
utilized by the facility. Preference given to candidates holding
dual licensure as an RN and as a LMHC or LCSW. ** Must be able to
type at least 27 wpm on prescreen assessment and score at least 65%
on general assessment. Drivers Requirement: Must have a current
Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record while meeting
company insurance requirements. In order to qualify as a Center
Driver, the candidate must at least 21 years of age and have an
active Florida Driver's license. Motor Vehicle Record will be
reviewed for eligibility. No more than 3 moving violations and/or
accidents within the past 3 years and no major violations during
the past 5 years. Drivers over 65 years old must provide a current
doctor's note stating they have no driving limitations. Essential
Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for the supervision of all
licensed and non-licensed personnel who provide health care and
nursing services for the SAPP unit. Provides supervision for other
nursing staff on residential programs under this Department
Supervises and implement protocols for medical services for the
Recovery Center, VetBridge and the MIST unit. Ensures that clients
in these programs are provided proper medical services by the
nursing staff. Provides on-call oversight for all medical issues or
events requiring management presence while assigned on-call duties
for all residential programs/units. You will also be called when
not the designated on-call staff to assist with medical
issues/emergencies when needed. Creates written protocols and
workflow designs to create safe and efficient services to clients.
Communicates with management regarding pertinent issues related to
each unit. Evaluates, directly supervises, and writes performance
plans for designated staff and communicates with the Vice President
of Residential Services as indicated. Conducts on-the-job training
as necessary for all staff. Participates in client nursing
assessments as needed including triaging of patients requesting
sick call. Coordinates medical care with the appropriate provider
based on assessment during triage. Reviews all pre-admission
packets for the SAPP unit and notes any areas of concern prior to
forwarding to the physician for approval. Communicates directly
with referral sources for the SAPP Unit. Acts as a resource for
nursing staff. Conducts staff meetings and attends monthly
management meetings. Monitors and ensures that incident reports are
completed and reported per policy and procedure. Provides
administrative program management for all residential units. Meets
with residents on all units as needed to resolve issues and
communicates with the Vice President on any concerns related to
program functions, staffing, or clinical issues. Performs other
