In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.
    What you will do in this role:
    
    • Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
    • Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
    • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
    • Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
    • Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.What qualifications you will need:EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED: (list required and preferred separately)Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED: (list required and preferred separately)One year of Medical/Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience preferredSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:Demonstrated skills in organization, verbal and written communications, customer service, math, analysis, reading, following instruction, basic computer usage.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: (list required and preferred separately)FL RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire. BLS and ACLS required. If new RN grad, ACLS must be obtained within three (3) months of hire.COMPETENCIES: The competencies identified for this position are summarized and reviewed periodically throughout employment.
