Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team at UF Health Shands. As a Physician Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our medical team to ensure the best possible outcomes.Responsibilities

• Assist attending physicians in the care and management of patients on inpatient units, including making patient rounds, contributing to daily care decisions, and writing orders.
• Interact with consultants and facilitate the scheduling of therapeutic and diagnostic tests and procedures.
• Make frequent bedside visits to assess patient status and direct care accordingly.
• Consult with supervisory physicians to determine the most appropriate care for patients.
• Provide diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare coverage for patients, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and prescribing medications.
• Share call hours, phone coverage, and see admitted patients within the hospital.Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Current and clear license as a Physician Assistant (PA) in the State of Florida.
  • BLS certification.
