Pharmacists are required to provide clinical services to patients in a hospital setting, with a focus on patient care and education.





**Job Description**

* Work on night shifts, 7 days on and 7 days off
* Provide clinical pharmacy services to patients in assigned areas
* Participate in education and research activities
* Collaborate with medical services and other healthcare professionals
* Develop and implement patient care plans
* Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
* Stay up-to-date with latest medical research and developments

**Requirements**

* Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy
* PharmD or equivalent education and hospital training/experience required
* PGY1 residency preferred, PGY2 residency highly preferred
* Two years pharmacy experience in an organized healthcare setting preferred
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to interact with supervisors, peers, support personnel, and students
* Understanding of general hospital and ambulatory operations
* Ability to integrate clinical services, education, and research activities

**Motor Vehicle Operator Designation**

* Employees in this position will not operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose
* A frequent driver is defined as one who uses their personal or company automobile at least once daily, or at least five individual trips per week, or drives over 150 miles per week in the performance of their job

**Licensure/Certification/Registration**

* Registered pharmacist in Florida or eligible for same

**Additional Requirement**

* As a condition of employment within the Pharmacy Services Department, all employees must be accessible by telephone, providing a valid telephone number to the department Staff Assistant for hospital needs and emergencies.
