Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cytotechnologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 06/30/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Pride Health is seeking a Cytotechnologist to support our client’s facility in Jacksonville, FL. This is a 13-week contract opportunity offering competitive pay and valuable experience in a high-level clinical environment. Job Summary: The Cytotechnologist will be responsible for the collection, processing, staining, and microscopic evaluation of cytologic specimens. This role requires a high degree of expertise in laboratory safety, quality control, and diagnostic procedures. Ideal for professionals passionate about diagnostic accuracy and patient care. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and interpret cytologic specimens under a microscope. - Maintain laboratory documentation and follow all safety and quality protocols. - Support and educate new employees, Cytotechnologists, and Cytopreparatory Technicians. - Utilize AHLTA, CHCS, and Microsoft Office Suite for recordkeeping and communication. - No floating or on-call duties required. Qualifications: Education: - Bachelor of Science degree required. Licensure/Certifications: - FL State Cytotechnologist License. - ASCP Certification (CT required; MT preferred). Experience: - Minimum 1 year of cytotechnology experience required. Preferred Skills: - Experience with lab quality improvement initiatives. - Strong attention to detail and interpretive skills.
