Registered Nurse (RN) - Renal Job Summary: The RN Renal delivers
specialized care to patients with kidney-related conditions, such
as chronic kidney disease or end-stage renal failure.
Responsibilities include monitoring fluid intake/output,
administering dialysis (if applicable), and coordinating care with
nephrologists. Key Responsibilities: Observe renal function
indicators, including creatinine, BUN, and electrolyte levels.
Provide or coordinate dialysis treatments if required. Educate
patients on fluid restrictions, diet modifications, and medication
adherence. Collaborate with nephrologists, dietitians, and social
workers for a holistic approach. Document patient progress and
adjust care plans as needed. Work Environment: Hospital renal
units, dialysis centers, or outpatient nephrology clinics. Requires
specialized knowledge of renal pathophysiology and treatment
