This regional medical center in Valdosta, GA is seeking a board certified/board eligible Neurologist to provide best in class quality healthcare to our community. Certificate of Distinction for Advanced Certification as a Primary Stroke Center Get with the Guidelines Silver Plus Award from the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association Georgia Coverdell Door to Needle Time Hospital Award for 2013 Georgia Coverdell Champion Hospital of the Year for stroke care in the medium-sized hospital category, (101 to 350 beds) for 2013 The Medical Center is the most comprehensive health system serving South Georgia and North Florida. It operates four hospitals across Lowndes, Berrien, and Lanier counties. The system also operates ambulance services, an extensive medical office network, a cancer center, hospice facility, retirement center, skilled nursing facility, imaging centers and urgent cares. Service lines of regional prominence include heart and vascular, stroke, trauma, cancer, orthopedics, surgery, and women and infants. Position Description: Full-time Monday Friday, 8-5pm No Call Hospital based employment We offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package that includes a strong base salary, bonus program, health insurances, malpractice insurance, 401k with matching, CME time with financial support, student loan forgiveness, relocation assistance, sign on bonus and more Qualifications: Board eligible/certified in neurology Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Georgia Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within an inter-disciplinary team and with referring physicians to provide high quality patient care Passionate about quality, service excellence, safety, process improvement, program development and team building. Experience with the EPIC electronic medical record is a significant plus. Possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
