We're currently seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to join our daytime team. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality care to patients recovering from anesthesia, such as those recovering from surgery or other invasive procedures. The role requires extensive knowledge of postoperative care, patient assessment skills, and the ability to manage unexpected complications related to anesthesia recovery. As part of our exemplary team, you will play a critical role in our patient recovery, working closely to ensure the comfort and safety of patients, while adhering to hospital protocols and improving patient outcomes. Monitor post-operative patients for complications and improvements. Administer medications as prescribed by the attending physician and monitor reactions. Assess patients’ pain levels and sedation requirements. Provide postoperative education and guidance to patients and their families. Document patient status and the care provided. Coordinate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure continuity of care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient in patient assessment and critical thinking. Adept in managing post-anesthesia care and pain control. Capable of performing in high-pressure situations. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid RN license in the state of Florida. Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
