Job Description This regional medical center in Valdosta, GA is seeking a board certified/board eligible Emergency Medicine physician. Full Time positions are open for the Main Campus ED and Northview ED, both located in Valdosta, GA. Our Main Campus ED sees an average of 54,000 visits per year with a 23% admission rate. Our Main ED is a Level 3 Trauma Center and a Certified Stroke Center. Outstanding specialty back up. The Northview campus is home to a smaller ED which sees 32,000 patients per year with an admission rate of 4%. The medical center is the most comprehensive health system serving South Georgia and North Florida. The system operates four hospitals across Lowndes, Berrien, and Lanier counties. The system also operates ambulance services, an extensive medical office network, a cancer center, hospice facility, retirement center, skilled nursing facility, imaging centers and urgent cares. Service lines of regional prominence include heart and vascular, stroke, trauma, cancer, orthopedics, surgery, and women and infants. Position Description: Flexible scheduling with night, weekend, and holiday differential pay Schedule requests allowed 1099 Status with a local, independent emergency medicine group EMR is Epic Highly competitive compensation that averages well above $300/hr, sign-on bonus for those that qualify, and some of the nation’s best physicians working beside you! Qualifications: Board eligible/certified in Emergency Medicine (Family Practice/Internal Medicine with appropriate experience considered on a case-by-case basis for our Northview Location) Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Georgia Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within an inter-disciplinary team and with referring physicians to provide high quality patient care Passionate about quality, service excellence, safety, process improvement, program development and team building. Experience with the EPIC electronic medical record is a significant plus. Possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
