Job Description:
Ascension, a faith-based healthcare organization is seeking a
dedicated and compassionate Nuclear Medicine Technical Assistant to
join our innovative team. As part of our mission to transform
healthcare, you will play a vital role in supporting our Nuclear
Medicine department by assisting with the safe and efficient
administration of nuclear medicine procedures. This position offers
a unique opportunity to contribute to our personalized,
compassionate care approach and to help improve health outcomes
across the communities we serve. Assist nuclear medicine
technologists in the preparation and administration of
radiopharmaceuticals. Ensure the proper calibration and maintenance
of nuclear medicine equipment and instruments. Adhere to safety
standards and protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients
and staff. Prepare examination rooms and ensure that they are clean
and properly set up for procedures. Assist with patient positioning
and comfort during nuclear medicine procedures. Maintain accurate
records and documentation of all procedures in accordance with
regulatory requirements. Provide support to patients, answering
queries and offering care during their visit. Collaborate with
healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate
patient care plans. Knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures and
safety protocols. Ability to operate and maintain complex medical
equipment. Strong organizational and communication skills. Empathy
and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients.
Proficiency in using healthcare databases and patient management
software. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life
Insurance 401k Certification from the Nuclear Medicine Technology
Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic
Technologists (ARRT) in nuclear medicine is highly desirable.
