The center operates Monday through Friday with a strong emphasis on quality, safety, and patient experience. It offers 10 outpatient operating suites and procedure rooms , 6 overnight recovery rooms , 7 pre-op bays , 7 PACU bays , and dedicated pain-prep space, creating a highly efficient ambulatory setting. This is an excellent opportunity for Anesthesiologists who enjoy a predictable outpatient environment , efficient case flow, and procedural variety without the burden of inpatient call coverage. The center’s service lines include: neurosurgery, orthopedics, podiatry, gastroenterology, and interventional pain management , which aligns closely with the current client need. Opportunity Snapshot Location: Jacksonville, Florida Contract Type: Anesthesiologist Locum Tenens Coverage Dates: May 22, 2026 and May 26–29, 2026 Setting: Outpatient Surgery Center Charting: EMR-based documentation Schedule: Cases typically begin at 7:30 AM , with occasional earlier or later starts Practice Environment This is a streamlined ambulatory surgical center designed for procedural efficiency and physician autonomy. The daily anesthesia model includes: 1 anesthesiologist per day 1–3 CRNAs depending on the case mix and schedule 4 operating rooms Typically 1–4 surgeons per day The center is built around same-day surgical care and has dedicated spaces for surgical, endoscopy, and interventional pain patients. Clinical Scope Current locum need includes cases such as: Neuro Podiatry Orthopedics Pain procedures GI Case volume can range from 2–3 cases per day up to approximately 20 cases on heavy pain days , offering a mix of lower-volume surgical days and more procedure-dense pain schedules. Providers should be comfortable working independently in their own room and managing routine outpatient anesthesia flow in a high-quality ambulatory setting.
