Job Description:
At Ascension, we are looking for a dedicated Surgical
Technologist to join our expert Open Heart surgery team. As a part
of our faith-based healthcare organization, you will work in a

service. This role requires precision and active collaboration with
healthcare professionals to provide top-tier care and improve
patient outcomes in cardiac surgery settings. Assist in surgical
operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or
other surgical personnel. Prepare operating rooms for surgery,
ensuring all necessary equipment is available and sterile. Handle
and monitor surgical instruments and equipment during procedures.
Maintain a sterile environment to ensure compliance with safety
protocols. Assist with patient positioning, anesthesia, and
applying dressings post-operation. Knowledge of surgical
instruments and operating room protocols. Ability to respond
quickly and effectively under pressure. Strong attention to detail
and precision. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Medical

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of
Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or Tech in
Surgery - Certified (NCCT). Basic Life Support (BLS)
Certification.
