Job Description:

Mission The Information Technology Manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining policies and procedures that support the Company's needs. The Information Technology Manager ensures proper functioning of the information systems and oversees necessary upgrades. Reporting Relationship The Information Technology Manager will report directly to the Executive Director, Process Development. The Information Technology Manager will lead and provide direction to all external IT service providers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Acts as primary liaison with external Information Technology Support firm. Determine the goals of Information Technology within broad outlines provided by the executive management and contribute to the continuity of computer services by providing necessary technical leadership and project coordination. Forecast costs, equipment and personnel needs for projects and programs as required and related to information systems. Stay abreast of the latest developments in information systems and remain highly technically competent while striving for enhanced user productivity through implementation of new software technology where applicable, and the implementation of policies that more effectively utilize information technology resources. Prepare long and short-range plans for application selection, systems development, and acquisition of the resources needed to support them. Assure responsiveness of long-range plans to corporate objectives. Develop and maintain IT Policies and Procedures Helps business operations groups utilize information systems to improve their efficiency. Ensures computer equipment, hardware, and software are updated to meet organizational needs. Identify and leverage resources to perform regular security monitoring to identify intrusions and vulnerabilities. Optimize ongoing network design. Identify technologies that can be used to automate tasks and work with users to implement them efficiently. Leverage industry best practices and tools to manage patch and vulnerability of systems. Other duties as assigned. Educational Qualifications A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field and five (5) years of relevant experience, eight (8) years preferred. Microsoft certification as Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) is preferred. Experience with ITSM and/or ITIL concepts and tools Experience with 21 CFR 11 and/or GMP compliant work environments Additional Qualifications Ability to evaluate software and hardware Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills Be adaptable and able to meet deadlines on assignments, juggle multiple demands and to work with all types of individuals up to and including the CEO.
