Job Description:

*Position Summary: *The IT Operations Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the IT helpdesk, deployments, and asset management. The Operations Manager serves as the department's expert in all area's of the network. The IT Operations Manager is responsible for the security, performance and continued update and improvement of all network operations. It is the IT Operations Managers' responsibility to providing a comprehensive and complete backup and recovery plan in place and up to date at all times. This position reports directly to the Director of IT and has supervisory responsibility for the IT Technicians and any other staff assigned. This position will work effectively in conjunction with other members of the IT staff and serve to help and jointly support other IT initiatives as needed. Being the responsible position for system operations this position is charged with the continued planning and upgrading of our assets to best serve our staff and clients; while maintaining the highest standards for security and performance expected from the information technology department. The IT Operations Manager will provide high level technical support for IT Technicians and others within the IT department as well as others deemed appropriate both internal and external.*Minimum Qualifications: ** Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent plus one-year experience.* Minimum 5 years' experience in an IT/IS environment in a medium to large scale enterprises, preferably in a healthcare environment.* Awareness and sensitivity to the operational needs, costs and environmental needs of a healthcare facility.* Interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and employees.*Driver Requirement: *Must have a current Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record while meeting company insurance requirements*Essential Duties/Responsibilities: ** Manage all of the activities related to our network and security infrastructure.* Responsible for the effective backup and recovery procedures of IT Information located on any and all server infrastructure.* Responsible for the security of servers and facilities in which they reside.* Responsible for the implementation and follow-through of the companies Disaster and recovery Plan.* Participates on committees as required.* Responsible for day to day operations of the IT Helpdesk. Ensures that processes are efficient and establishes SLA's to measure effectiveness.* Responsible for department documentation and process and procedures.* Implements overall short and long range objectives consistent with the Center's direction and objectives and strategic plan related to server infrastructure and overall mission* Develops, implements, and maintains the necessary controls to ensure proper budgetary forecasts, preparation and monitoring related to server infrastructure* Acquisition of hardware, software and communications is consistent with the policies outlined by the Chief Information Officer* Develops implements and maintains the proper and consistent telecommunication relationship both within and between the Center's staff and outside business-related contacts.* Develops implements and maintains technical support for all the Center's applications, hardware, software and communications facilities as requested.* Provides consistent technical and telecommunication support to all campuses.* Establishes, maintains and reports the status of projects, problems and activities on a regular basis to the Chief Information Officer.* Works with leadership to develop and implement a data-security plan that includes emergency backup and recovery of data and facilities in the event of short- or long-term outage.* Travel to the various campuses on an as needed basis.* Performs other duties as required to meet program and departmental goals and objectives.*Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: *_Specific competencies required are identified on a department/program specific basis and identified in each employee's Competency Checklist. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.*Mathematical Skills: *Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.*Reasoning Ability: *Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.*Physical Demand: *The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
