Job Description:
Position Purpose: The Software Engineer will be responsible for
the design and development of multi-tiered web applications for an
Application Service Provider (ASP), perform detailed design of
individual components, and implement user interface, business
logic, and database layers.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop complex web application components.
Responsible for translating functional requirements and high-level
design of components and modules into a developed and tested,
multi-tier solution, including user interface, business logic and
database.
Implement solutions on the Microsoft .NET platform, within an
existing application development framework.
Provide technical leadership to a project team, including mentoring
and code reviews.
Provide support to Solutions Manager, Technical Architect or
Solutions Architect during systems development lifecycle.
Follow the strategic direction of the department as a whole and
provide suggestions to improve the company and department
processes.
Maintain in-depth technical expertise in all areas of Microsoft
products, industry trends, competitive offerings, and applies it to
the business needs of customers.
Requirements:
4 years' experience with architectural design of large-scale,
highly reliable, and highly available Internet facing applications
using Microsoft technologies, including SQL Server and IIS.
2 years' experience developing and leading solution implementations
with Microsoft .NET, using a combination of ASP.NET, C# and SQL
Server.
4 years advanced experience using SQL Server, including data
modeling, advanced T-SQL, Stored Procedures, indexing strategies,
Performance Plans, understanding Replication and the challenges of
supporting a high volume, always available web application.
4 years HTML, Javascript and CSS for modern browsers such as
Chrome, Firefox and IE. Understanding browser compatibility issues
and Responsive web design.
Production experience with ASP.NET application supporting > 500
business users.
Product development experience desirable.
Experience working within an iterative development process
desirable.
Advanced C#
Generics
Polymorphic code leveraging Generics.
LINQ
Working knowledge of common patterns such as MVVM, MVC, Factory
Pattern, Observer Pattern, Singleton Pattern
Understanding of Inversion of Control (IoC) Principle
Understanding of Dependency Injection
Basic familiarity of Unity
Advanced ASP.NET
Advanced View State knowledge, how to optimize view state to a
given environment.
Advanced Session knowledge (differences in Web Farm vs Web Garden
vs standalone server)
Working knowledge of the ASP.NET Cache
Moderate to Advanced SQL Server knowledge
Moderate HTML, HTML5, CSS/CSS3, Javascript, JQuery
Understanding of OOA/OOD
Experience with an ORM framework
Strong verbal and written skills.
Exceptional problem-solving skills.
Strong teamwork and mentoring skills.
Ability to work within defined timeframes.
Attention to detail.
In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft .NET Framework, including
ASP.NET.
Detailed working knowledge of software design techniques, including
object-oriented analysis and design techniques.
Understanding of business processes and the application of
technology to implement them.
Bachelor's degree in a related area with 4 years of experience in
the field Or: 8 years of experience in the field

Knockout or JQuery Templates
Memory management techniques
Advanced Garbage Collection knowledge
Application Performance Management
Ability and desire to drive change through high-energy, can-do
attitude, comfortable working in a high-performance,

demonstrates attention to detail, and who also understands how to
