Chiefland, FL office for a full-time, experienced litigation and

Perform complex paralegal duties requiring knowledge of legal
terminology and legal processes which include case management from
inception through discovery and verdict.
Prepare, edit, and/or draft correspondence, reports, and legal
Prepare, edit and/or file subpoenas, briefs, pleadings, and other
filings in state/federal court
Plan and schedule conferences, depositions, and/or meetings
Maintain calendars including court deadlines and appearances
Create complex database for documents
Maintain calendar of deadlines for discovery
Review documents for privileged material and prepare drafts of
Assist with discovery matters and handle document productions
Work harmoniously and effectively in close proximity to others as
part of a team
Respond to inquiries for information
Other responsibilities as needed
Relocation required with assistance available to qualified
A two-year degree in paralegal studies or NALA (National
Association of Legal Assistants) certification and prior litigation
experience is required; a Bachelor's degree or equivalent from
four-year college or university plus paralegal certificate from an
ABA accredited program and 3 years of experience in both State and
Federal Courts is preferred. Non-degreed candidates with 10 years
of paralegal experience in the same or similar area of legal
practice may be considered.
Must be familiar with the State and Federal Rules of Civil
Procedure, have strong organizational and communication skills,
excellent writing skills and the ability to draft documents, and be
able to work independently.
Knowledge of PACER, Word, Excel, Outlook, and other document
management software is required.
