This position acts as an assistant to the Food Support Worker
and as a general clean-up
Person for the Food Service Department.
EXAMPLE OF WORK
Prepares and counts salads, beverages and sandwiches. Assists
the Food Support Worker in cleaning and cutting vegetables, slicing
and counting portions of meats.
Counts and pans desserts and bakery products for the tray line
and cafeteria line.
Works on tray line in a cold, hot, or counts serving trays and
placing in to food cart for delivery.
Delivers and picks up loaded carts containing food trays to and
from campus area.
Also delivering and picking up carts from residential
Prepares food and sets up trays for residents on special
Sets up serving line with salads, desserts and serving utensils.
Assists Food Supports Workers in setting up hot food on the serving
line. Works on staff cafeteria serving line portioning and serving
Washes and sterilizes food trays, dishes, glasses, pots, pans
Performs general cleaning to maintain sanitary conditions in
food preparation, serving and associated areas.
Removes trash from kitchen, dining and dish room areas to proper
trash receptacles outside. Cleans trash cart after removing
Acts as cashier in the absents of the cashier.
Performs other related duties as required.

and written instructions would be beneficial.
Prior food service experience is desirable, but not
Employees in this position work a rotating schedule. Days off
each week will vary.
The assigned shifts are from 5:00am - 1:30 pm or 11:00am -
7:30pm 8 hr. shifts. Must be able to work weekends, holidays and
extra hours on occasion.
Biweekly rate of pay is $719.04 ($8.56 hourly)
