Job Description:
A company is looking for an Emergency Department Coder.
Key Responsibilities:
Assign accurate E&M professional fee and facility level codes
based on medical record documentation
Ensure diagnoses and procedures are sequenced correctly for
accurate reimbursement
Review coding for accuracy and completeness prior to submission to
billing
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and 2 years of medical coding
experience
2+ years' experience in ED Coding including both professional fee
and facility
Cerner Experience Preferred
3M 360 experience required
Valid certifications from AHIMA or AAPC
