SCHEDULE: PRN/Per DiemNorth Florida Regional Healthcare is an
organization centered around the community hospitals in
Gainesville, Florida -- North Florida Regional Medical Center
(NFRMC). NFRMC is a 432-bed, full-service medical and surgical
acute care center serving North Central Florida and offering
comprehensive cardiovascular care, oncology, orthopedics,
neurosciences, minimally-invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery,
weight loss surgery and treatment, women's health and wound
therapy, among other services.
Specific Duties Including (but not limited to):
Performs EEG examinations utilizing standard techniques and optimal
techniques to highlight abnormal patterns.
Abstracts relevant information from patient's clinical records and
obtains pertinent historical data from the patient.
Reviews EEG's and patient data with physicians as
Performs 12 Lead EKG, Pediatric EKG, and Sig-Average EKG's using
correct lead placement and machine set up.
Properly applies Holter monitor to patient.
Performs Treadmill Stress Test.
Responds to "890" codes.
Serves as a resource to ED staff as needed, assist with EKG's,
troubleshooting issues, and education.
Maintains accurate patient log records and generates patient
Calibrates, trouble shoots and reports need for equipment
Monitor test results to ensure timely physician interpretation and
Identify and flag preoperative test procedures and notify physician
responsible for the interpretation of the test data.
EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
Completion of an accredited EEG Training Program. A minimum of 2
years of experience in the field of Electroencephalography may be
substituted for completion of the program.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:
None is required, though 1 year of experience is preferred
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Demonstrated skills in organization, verbal and written
communications, customer service, math, analysis, reading,
following instruction, basic computer usage.
BLS through American Heart Association
